Trump threatens to conduct War Crimes to get Iran to make a deal with him Under Duress

In American Contract Law, to sign a deal under duress voids the entire agreement. I wonder if Trump knows that. Why would he expect anyone to honor or make a deal with threats like this? In fact, this is a guy who orders the US Military to conduct sneak attacks while they are in negotiations with said country like Iran. Once again, he threatens the Iranian Civilian Population by attacking energy grids, power plants, etc. which are all war crimes.
